4 Beautifully Woodsy Central Wisconsin Photo Locations

4 Beautifully Woodsy Central Wisconsin Photo Locations

1. Cherokee Park - Colby, Wisconsin

Cherokee Park Marathon County.jpg

Cherokee Park is one of my favorite and most versatile outdoor locations in central Wisconsin. It is located on the western side of Marathon County and features plenty of wooded walking areas alongside the Big Eau Pleine River. When the time is right, this park shows the beautiful Wisconsin fall color like none other. From docks to bridges to rock formations that span the river, this location is perfect if you’re looking for lots of waterside photo opportunities.

2. Powers Bluff County Park & Winter Recreation Area - Arpin, Wisconsin

If you’re from central Wisconsin, you probably immediately think of snow tubing when you think of Powers Bluff. During summer, this park has even more to offer! Breaking the typical flat landscape of the area, Powers Bluff is the highest point in Wood County and provides beautiful views of the country landscape.

3. Stevens Point Sculpture Park - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Art meets the outdoors at this unique trail in Stevens Point. Stevens Point Sculpture Park features always-changing art installations from various artists in the region. If you’re a high school senior or newly engaged couple looking for truly one-of-a-kind photos, this spot provides a perfect mix of lush greenery and artsy props. You’ll notice something new every time you walk through this hidden gem of central Wisconsin.

4. North Wood County Park - Arpin, Wisconsin

Arpin, Wisconsin is home to another great park in the area. North Wood County Park features wooded trails, rocky river scenes, a beach area and a rustic stone shelter that is perfect for weddings and receptions.
